Beware The Employment Stats: Payroll Numbers To Be Up Big On Friday

Reuters reports today that the very large number of census workers hired in the U.S. will finally show up on this Friday's payroll report. Even President Obama was commenting on it earlier this week.

The nonfarm payrolls report to be released Friday may show a significant large number of jobs added in May, however, this will be due in large part to a spike in the hiring of census workers.

"The government's much more comprehensive labor market report will be released on Friday and is expected to show a huge rise in nonfarm payrolls of 513,000 in May, based on a Reuters poll of analysts"

Beware stats and media manipulation. On the other hand, if they don't deliver, they will disappoint. Another great opportunity to go short is shaping up.
