Number of People on Food Stamps Skyrockets to 19.4M

The number of people receiving food stamps has skyrocketed according to the latest estimates released by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service. Overall, there was an increase of about 20%, with a staggering 19.4M on the program.

The largest increases were in Idaho (+44%), Rhode Island (+35%), Nevada (+30%), Connectitcut (+28%), Wisconsin (+25%)

The numbers are still estimates and may be revised.
