SunPower announced accounting problems today and the stock promptly dropped 18%:
Sometimes accounting issues take years to resolve. This case may be overblown. The company certainly is an a good space. However, anything can happen. This is the type of situation that is great for straddles. Here the some for November and December 2009 and Mar 2010. November is of course extremely risky.
The positions are calculated with the StraddlesCalc tool and indicate the maximum move required for profitability.
