The Hope for Japan: Social Upheaval. Yen to Fall Hard

BNN interviewed Brian Miller, Globe and mail, and Roben Farzad, senior writer, BusinessWeek.

Mr. Farzad says we have been worried about Japan for 20 years. He says that we should be at a hightened state of worry! He says that there is some hope for Japan: if the population gets sick and tired of the current situation revolts. Youth are very discouraged with the sporadic job market, there there is potential for social upheaval.
They also talk about the USD situation getting 'weirder and weirder'. The Yen strength is quite artificial and in great due to a tax holiday for repatriation of profits by the Japanese companies. Yen is headed for a real downfall.
