Natural Gas Weekly Report: Still Records But Beware That Averages Have Changed

Natural gas storage was reported showing -153Bcf, against expectations of -155Bcf, so very much in line.

Please note that the natural gas average storage curve has been changed and now reflects the much higher storage leveles of 2009. here is a chart comapring 2009 and 2010:

Current amount in storage is 3.1Tcf, which is huge, 10.08% larger than last year, and 11.25% larger than the 5-year average.

For comparison and to see how the average curves have been changed, check out our curve from December 4, where clearly the current storage was above the average channel.
